EcoBar It is the result of years of research aimed at identifying the most efficient LED lighting for greenhouse cultivation of tomatoes and all other row crops... and more.
Remarkable results had already been achieved with the STL H3 series, whose features (silicone optics, aluminum front, IP69-IK10 protection) are even excessive for a protected environment, such as a greenhouse. EcoBar, in addition to improving some performance, has an efficiency/cost ratio that allows for a rapid return on investment. Its main feature is the continuous distribution of light and its placement in the center of the rows, even just above the tops of the plants. This solution offers many advantages over the traditional placement of HPS lamps and Top Compact LEDs.
UNIFORMITY'
The longitudinal distribution of LEDs EcoBar It provides 99% uniformity of light along the row, compared to 75-80% for HPS lamps and TOP compact LEDs with optics and 60-65% for TOP compact LEDs without optics; this is true even in very low greenhouses.
EFFICIENCY
In row crops, with LEDs EcoBar Positioned just above the tops of the plants, there is no light dispersion to the ground, outside the greenhouse, or on internal structures (poles, cables, spools). 98-99% of the light is captured by the plants, compared to 85-86% with the best TOP compact LEDs.

EFFECTIVENESS
In row crop greenhouses, 40W/m² is enough to obtain a PPFD of over 200 µmol/s·m² at the tops of the plants.
For growth, however, not only the PPFD is important but also the targeted and uniform distribution of light and a balanced spectrum.
The solution EcoBar It distributes 75% of its light inside the rows and 25% outside, compensating for the natural light that provides a lot of light outside the row and little inside. It should also be noted that lighting distributed throughout the row, therefore very uniform and vertical, is much more effective than that provided by lamps positioned every 5 or 6 meters.
Finally, thermal benefits should also be considered. By switching from HPS to TOP LED, the thermal contribution of sodium lamps is eliminated from the upper part of the plants; EcoBar, thanks to the short distance between the LED bar and the plants, provides a fair amount of heat on the buds, promoting the development and setting of the flowers.
INNOVATION
All the products of the line EcoBar They are free of glass, PMMA, or similar protection; all of these solutions result in light losses of 9-10%, and even 15% if optics are also present. Protection against dust and humidity is achieved with a special polyurethane and polyacrylate copolymer paint, applied directly to the LEDs and cured in a UV oven.
The result is a light loss of less than 0,5% and a high thermal dissipation, already above average due to the considerable irradiated surface of the bar.
Adding all the advantages of uniformity, efficiency, effectiveness and innovation, the devices EcoBar they allow an energy saving of 50-55% compared to HPS lamps and 15-20% compared to TOP compact LEDs, this also with increases in harvest.
