Technical details of the CH64 and MY36 lines

In the typical construction of a lighting fixture, LEDs are installed on the underside of a printed circuit board, the top of which is in contact with a heatsink, usually made of finned aluminum. This solution has many disadvantages: dust accumulation, minimal air circulation, reduced radiation, and difficulty in cleaning, resulting in reduced heat dissipation; overheating; and a reduced LED lifespan.
In the CH64 and MY36 series industrial lamps, heat dissipation occurs across the entire body of the fixture and across all surfaces; in particular, the lower one, which is the one that doesn't get dirty; which has more air circulation; is not obstructed by the ceiling and is in direct contact with the LEDs.
This, combined with the fact that the LEDs are distant from each other and distributed over the entire surface, guarantees excellent heat dissipation and a uniform temperature.
Electronics also play a role here. In all fixtures, especially those with a circular or square shape, the central LEDs are the most prone to overheating. LUXLED, in addition to spacing the LEDs, has adopted electronic temperature compensation. This means that the central, hotter LEDs are supplied with a slightly lower current than average, while the outer, cooler LEDs are supplied with a higher current. This solution guarantees all LEDs an equal lifespan and uniform decay.

Silicone optics

All traditional lighting products are equipped with glass or other protective material, and many LED fixtures also use this solution; in others, lenses protect the LEDs, while in still others, both lenses and glass are present; in any case, one or both are present in all LED fixtures.
Almost all manufacturers that use lenses make them from PMMA; a good-quality thermoplastic engineering polymer that still has a transparency of 86-88%, even polycarbonate or methacrylate diffusers don't exceed 85%. Even extra-clear glass doesn't exceed 92% transparency and, for glare reasons, must be frosted or combined with reflectors, resulting in further losses.
Whatever the solution, they all result in a loss of efficiency; from 15% in the best cases up to 20-22% for the glass-lens combination. Continuing its high-quality philosophy, LUXLED has reduced this loss by adopting silicone lenses. Liquid silicone, LSR, already used for many years in contact lenses, has unique and unsurpassed characteristics: it resists heat, does not yellow, is resistant to solvents, can be precisely molded into very thin layers and, above all, has a transparency of 94%. Obviously, the LUXLED lenses used in the CH64 series industrial lamps do not simply modify
the angle but shape the beam, from circular to quadrangular, to improve uniformity and coverage in corners and on walls.
