The importance of the heat sink
In the TOP compact LEDs there are hundreds of LEDs in a very small space and it becomes difficult to dissipate the heat produced; if then the front of the light is closed by glass or plastic material dissipation is even more problematic and worsens if lenses are also present. In the solution EcoBar The LEDs are spaced far apart. There's no glass or plastic; the heat dissipation surface, in contact with the air, is very large, and radiation occurs in all directions, greatly facilitating heat dissipation.
The following table shows the temperature and brightness loss values of the various devices.
| Luminary | Heatsink temperature after 30 minutes (Ta 23°C) | Brightness loss compared to a heatsink measurement at 25°C |
| EcoBar (full spectrum) | 35-37 °C | 1.5 % |
| Top LED without front | 58-59 °C | 4% |
| Top LED with glass | 68-70 °C | 6.5 % |
| Top LED with glass and optics | 73-75 °C | 7% |
As you can understand, Heat dissipation in EcoBars is significantly better.
